ScieMattersClub hosts a variety of events and activities, from the serious to the absurd, indoors, outdoors and online, which serve to promote the sharing and understanding of science knowledge with the community and unite community members with far-reaching scientists and industry professionals. Our events may include a monthly seminar series, field trips, movie screenings, community outreach, service projects, and more. We also host online talks, discussions and presentations on scientific topics that are of community interest.

We will also host panel discussions that include community members, scientists and government representatives to discuss some of the science related topics that are emanating from societal concerns affecting the public, e.g. how oil and gas development in the country might affect the environment and health of the people. It is critical for community members to understand the positive and negative elements of such issues in relation to their lives and livelihood.
